BARISTA SCHOOL

National Barista School Training

Barista skills are as essential in the art of the preparation of a good cup of coffee as the coffee itself.  Metropolitan was one of the first companies to offer specialist Barista training to its customers nationally.  Over the years Metropolitan has trained baristas for some of the biggest companies in the coffee and restaurant industry.

Metropolitan offers a range of courses designed to help you and your staff to make the perfect cup of coffee.  Trainees are awarded a Barista certificate on successful completion of the course.

If you would prefer a weekend course which we run on a Sunday, please contact us for prices and dates.

All classes are held at our training centre at Acton W3 7XS and we can collect from East Acton tube station.

The cost of the class is £125.00.  This includes a hard copy training manual, branded barista apron, scales, electronic timer, a lined shot glass and a group cleaning tool to take away, plus of course your Barista certicifate.

We can also arrange an on-site Barista School for a minimum cost of £500.00 (up to 6 delegates) or £750.00 (up to ten delegates). We can also bring a second espresso machine with in-built water tanks to aid the hands-on training of larger groups.

The courses comprise the following and aim to provide an informed and practical 'zero to hero' approach to producing perfect espresso based hot drinks. We now also cover briefly options on cold variants for the coffee shop markets. Perhaps most significant about the training is that we like to ensure that everybody has mastered the milk texturing techniques before they leave and we build in lots of 'hands-on' and gallons of milk to achieve this!
